L'eurodance (de Europe et dance) est un genre musical, une branche populaire et commerciale de la dance (musique électronique), née dans les années 1980 mais dont l'expansion s'est faite durant les années 1990. L'eurodance est notamment produite en France, en Italie, en Allemagne, au Portugal, en Suède, au Danemark et en Belgique, d'où son nom particulièrement utilisé pour dénommer le style de musique dance qui fut populaire en Europe entre 1992 et 1997.
En termes de contenu vocal, la dance, au début des années 1990, s'est largement basée sur le modèle suivant : refrain par une chanteuse, couplet par un rappeur. Mais plusieurs variations existent et sont apparues avec l'évolution du genre : chant principal diva, chants masculins variés, style rap et ragga, pour ne nommer que ceux-ci.
Parmis les groupes les plus connus on peut siter: Ice MC , Dj Bobo , Dr Alban , 2 Unlimited , Masterboy...

Turbo B est le pseudonyme de Maurice Durron Butler, un rappeur américain né à Pittsburgh en (Pennsylvanie) le 30 avril 1967.

En 1990, alors qu'il travaillait dans une boîte de nuit de Wiesbaden (le Monte Carlo), il y rencontre les Allemands de Snap!, un groupe de musique électronique. La même année, ils enregistrent le célèbre titre The Power (paru sur l'album World Power), sur lequel Turbo B chante, et qui devient un succès mondial (N°1 dans de nombreux pays) et reste le tube qui le fait connaître d'un public beaucoup plus large. En 1991, il quitte Snap! pour des désaccords humains et artistiques entre autres, avant de les rejoindre à nouveau en l'an 2000 pour ressusciter le projet pour un temps.

En 1994 le groupe Centory a été crée autour du rappeur Turbo B, Centory est un groupe de dance originaire d'Allemagne.

Leur premier single Point of no return sort en 1994 . Le single rencontre un grand succès (#3 en France, #18 en Autriche, #16 en Allemagne, #35 en Suisse), justifiant la sortie de remixes quelques mois plus tard.

Le single suivant est Take it to the limit, sorti fin 1994 (#22 en Autriche, #22 en Allemagne, #37 en Suisse).

Le groupe enregistre également le titre Merry, Merry X-Mas qui figure sur la compilation allemande thématique Bravo Dance X-Mas. Il ne sortira jamais qu'en promo fin 1994...
